Which Terminal Does My Ship Use?

Barcelona has seven cruise terminals. Six are on the Moll Adossat quay; Terminal S is at the World Trade Center, next to the city. Where a line’s ships share terminals we show the line once; where ships differ, each gets its own row. Distances are the port’s own figures from each terminal to the city, in miles; under ¾ mile we say “In town”.

See the Sagrada Família

Branching columns and stained glass inside the Sagrada Família

Gaudí’s basilica is Barcelona’s defining sight. Inside, stone columns branch like trees and the stained glass fills the nave with coloured light.

Entry is by timed ticket, bought online, and late arrivals are refused, so build it around your all-aboard time. Tickets start at €26, or €36 with a tower. There are no suitcase lockers. The metro stop is Sagrada Família (L2 and L5).

Safety and Weather

The main risk for visitors in Barcelona is theft, not violence. About half of all crime recorded in the city is theft.

  • CrimeIn 2025 Barcelona recorded about twice the Spanish average crime per resident, and almost half of all thefts in Catalonia: 76,713. Most are pickpocketing and bag snatching.
  • Where thieves workLa Rambla, Plaça de Catalunya, the old town, the metro, the Aerobús, the Sagrada Família and Park Güell. Thieves often work in teams and use distraction, so keep phones and wallets zipped away.
  • Walking to townFrom Moll Adossat, no: the terminals are 1.2 to 2.4 miles from the city along a busy port road and bridge, so take the Cruise Bus. Terminal S at the World Trade Center is about a quarter of a mile from the city, an easy walk.
  • The beachBarceloneta and Sant Sebastià are the city beaches nearest the old port. Lifeguards are on duty from 10:30 to 19:30 between late May and mid-September; outside the season there are none.
  • WeatherSummer highs reach about 83°F (28°C) in August; January lows are about 40°F (5°C). October is the wettest month.

Crime figures: Spain’s Interior Ministry, 2025, per resident. Weather: AEMET 1981–2010 normals, Barcelona airport.
